Shekou is situated on the eastern coast of Pearl River estuary approximately 25 nautical miles from Hong Kong, and is a major part of the Shenzhen which is the first Special Economic Zone of China.. Shekou (Snake’s Mouth) was formerly a quiet fishing village and farming community. The area began the “great leap forward” in 1979 when the People’s Government declared Shenzhen County a Special Economic Zone. Nowadays Shekou has become one of the city’s major scenic spots drawing for tourists. There are many places of Chinese culture and historic ruins to be discovered. Spend a day in Shekou of Shenzhen will definitely make you exciting trip in the Orient more perfect.
We will first visit the landmark of Shekou city - The legend of NUWA, goddess of creation in China.
THE LEGEND OF NUWA
The legend of NUWA is one the First Chinese Gods with a lower body of dragon. Her most famous Myth is she was in charge of making humans, so she got clay and began to hand mold the humans out of clay.
GREEN GREAT WALL MANGROVE
Futianb Mangrove Natural Protection Area is the first and only one country level urban natural protection area in China at present, This is China's largest area of mangrove, and owns unique ecological tourism resources integrating woods, birds, water, fishes and beaches as a whole.
CHINA FOLK CULTURE VILLAGES

After dinner, the evening highlight is to enjoy the "Dancing with Dragon & Phoenix " open-air show that is a harmonious blend of modern cutting-edge technology and wonderful performance enriched by the 5000 years of Chinese performing art in dance, acrobatics and opera.
DANCING WITH THE DRAGON AND THE PHOENIX SHOW
The Dragon and the Phoenix show consists of two parts: “Oriental Apparel” - A Poem of Romantic Stories, A Ceremony of National Splendor. It is a grand folk costume poetic spectacle. Depart from Shenzhen to Hong Kong by First-class train at approximately 2100 hours and transfer back to you hotel.
